SERVICES

The creation of Silvertine was born from a decade of searching for the ultimate hunting environment, and has been one of my greatest passions. I am certain we have created an environment that will emphasize the ethical principles of hunting, one built on the policy of “Fair Chase”, and a preserve that will create a memory of a lifetime. Your interests are my number one priority, and I want you to return again, and better yet, to tell your friends of about the great hunting experience you had with Silvertine!

My extensive 32 years of hands-on background in my hunting business has shown me exactly what the client is looking for in a preserve hunt. They want three simple criteria:
  1. First and foremost, a realistic and challenging hunt in an environment that can duplicate “Fair Chase”.
  2. Quality services, from experienced and knowledgeable guides and staff, as well as top quality lodging and food
  3. Quality Trophy animals that will exceed their expectations, never the other way around.
Challenging your wits against trophy game animals is what it’s all about here at Silvertine.  We have been catering to clients from all over the world, and from a wide range of experiences, from first time hunters to the most experienced and worldly. We can tailor any hunt to any client’s desire.

Silvertine is a privately managed hunt preserve so no hunting license, set seasons, or bag limits are in effect. All hunts are 1x1, 2x1, or 3x1 fully guided services with very experienced and talented guides. They have an exceptional understanding of the game and the preserve habitat. Hunters can choose to hunt with rifle, bow, crossbow, or muzzleloader. We can challenge the most avid hunter!

Rifle Hunters:
Rifle hunters entering Canada are required to declare their firearms when entering/leaving Canada. CLICK HERE to get the proper forms only from the Canadian Firearms Centers web-site to bring your firearms into Canada. There is a $30.00 Canadian fee. Bows and crossbows are exempt.

Meat and Trophy Care:
Silvertine’s experienced staff will handle all your meat and trophy requirements. All meat is recovered from the preserve using quads or argo. The meat is taken back to the lodge, cleaned, and hung in the meat house, ready to be prepared by a meat processor. We can assit our guests in boning out their meat in camp, or for an additional cost, arrangements can be made to have it cut and wrapped with time permitting.

Importing Meat to U.S.A.
For those hunters that wish to return home with their bounty of meat from their Big Game animals at the conclusion of the hunt, we provide all the necessary export permits and paperwork. This is all included in the hunt price. All Elk, Deer, Boar, and Bison meat are allowed to be brought into the USA with proper paperwork from us. For more information on how to handle your meat for your travels home CLICK HERE.

Great Accommodations and Camp Life:
The second you walk in the door of our lodge you will feel totally at home and relaxed. Our brand of "Rustic" is what our hunting guests and families appreciate. "Rustic" in appearance, but modern in all other aspects. We have landline electricity, and good cell coverage throughout camp and free WiFi. There is a full bathroom facilities in the main lodge with a toilet, sink, hot shower and a large soaker bathtub. All of our guests have their own private log cabin, and each cabin has electric backup heating, 2 comfortable beds with mattresses and bedding, a wood stove, and is only 30 yards from the main lodge, for optimum privacy for our guests or couples. The main Lodge has a full bathroom, dinning area, sitting/socializing area and trophy collection.

Combine tasty meals with wonderful surroundings, and you have great camp life. It won't take you long to discover that we are delighted to have you as our guest. If you or someone in your party has special dietary requirements just let us know beforehand, and we will be happy to accommodate you.

Average meal plan is:
Breakfasts are quick and easy, and hunters have a choice of multiple flavored muffins, cold cereals, instant oatmeal, toast, or bagels. Lunch is typically sandwiches and soup. Dinners are a variety of taste tempting, hearty ranch-style fare made from home raised vegetables, eggs, and our ranch grown elk and buffalo.

Taxidermy Services:
Steve Rahn is also a renowned taxidermist. During the winter months he further delights his hunting customers by serving their taxidermy needs. Hunters have the option of leaving their trophies with him to ship or mount, or take back their packaged capes to their taxidermist at home. Many airlines will not allow you to travel with large antlers, so check with your flight company before traveling. We can handle shipping of trophies to anywhere in the world. Taxidermy services not included in hunt packages. CLICK HERE to get to our taxidermy rates page.

Granitites:
Tipping is a sensitive subject, and something we here at Silvertine feel should come from your heart, and not be imposed or something that is mandatory, but something earned based on providing quality services to you . . our guest. Tipping the guides and staff is truly part of well managed services. I am often asked "How much should I tip my guide"? As a guideline, it is industry standard that satisfied guests tip up to 10% of their total hunt cost. The majority of the tip going to your guide, and the remainder being split up between other staff that assisted in your hunt. If you do not feel your guide deserved a tip, please let us know.
